K. T. Rama Rao

K. T. Rama Rao has a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology and two post-graduate degrees, one is M.Sc in Biotechnology from University of Pune and the other is MBA in Marketing & E-commerce from Baruch College-City University of New York. He worked as Regional Sales Director at INTTRA from 2001 to 2006. He actively participated in the Telangana movement from 2009 to 2014. In the 2014 election, he was elected to the Telangana State assembly from Sircilla constituency in Telangana. He has been inducted into the Telangana Cabinet as the minister for IT and Panchayati Raj affairs.


GV Prasad

Prasad leads the core team which drives growth and performance at Dr. Reddy’s. He is the architect of the company’s successful Global Generics and API strategies, and has spearheaded Dr. Reddy’s foray into Biosimilars and Differentiated Formulations. His efforts have led the company to a leadership position in the Indian pharmaceutical sector and helped create a significant presence globally, while being recognized for scientific innovation, people practices, and corporate governance.


Dr. Devi Shetty

He is chairman and Founder, Narayana Health (Narayana Hrudayalaya in now Narayana Health). Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty (born 8 May 1953) is an Indian philanthropist and a cardiac surgeon. He has leveraged economies of scale to provide affordable healthcare. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan, third highest civilian award in India for his contribution to the field of affordable healthcare. He has performed over 15,000 heart operations.


Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam

Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam is a renowned surgeon, philanthropist, orator, leading industrialist, a dedicated teacher, successful professional, entrepreneur and a strong believer in social work with sterling qualities, which he maintains throughout his career. A man of principles and strong convictions, he believes in doing one's duty with honesty and hard work. "Super care with a personal touch" are his hallmarks. He is an approachable surgeon with whom his patients can feel comfortable. Yet beyond his amazing technical skills, he is most admired for his sensitive touch with people of all ages.
He believes that a doctor has to be compassionate, honest in all interactions (no matter how difficult), resolute in their wanting to heal (as well as to possibly cure), patient, optimistic, approachable, inquisitive, proactive, flexible, introspective and willing to self-criticize, an excellent listener, a team player and self-confident.


BK Jayanti Kirpalani

Director for Europe and Middle East of Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (BKWSU) and their NGO Representative to the United Nations, Geneva.
As an emissary for peace, Sister Jayanti has a vision and experience that is truly global and deeply spiritual. She is currently the Director of the International Co-ordinating Office of the Brahma Kumaris (BK) in London at Global Co-operation House, of the Global Retreat Centre in Oxfordshire and of BK Centres in over 31 countries in Europe and Middle East. Together with this she assists with the overall co-ordination of the organization’s activities in more than 100 countries outside India.


K I Varaprasad Reddy

He is an Indian entrepreneur, Scientist, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Shantha Biotechnics. He holds B.E. in Electronics Engineering from Andhra University, a Diploma in Computer science from Böblingen University, and an M.B.A. from Osmania University.


Prof. Raj Raghunathan

He earned his PhD from the Stern School of Business at New York University and is currently employed as a professor of marketing at the McCombs School of Business, the University of Texas at Austin. Raj’s work juxtaposes theories from psychology, behavioral sciences, decision theory and marketing to document and explain interrelationships between affect and consumption behavior. Raj’s work has been published in top marketing and psychology journals such as, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Marketing, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Motivation and Emotion, and the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. His work has also been cited in the popular press, such as The New York Times, the Austin American Statesman, and Self magazine. Raj was recognized as a Marketing Science Young Scholar in 2005 for his contributions to the field of Marketing, and was recently awarded the prestigious NSF Career Award (for $440,000).


BK Shivani

Sister Shivani is a well received and well known spiritual teacher across different parts of the world. She is a gold medalist in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the Pune University and an entrepreneur who successfully ran a software company for few years. She is closely associated with the Brahma Kumaris for more than 15 years and is credited with demystifying various dimensions of spirituality and make it accessible for the masses through the flagship program of 'Awakening with Brahma Kumaris' for quite some years now.


David Kilowsky

He is a self taught Artist and Musician, Co-ordinating the Art Department at Brahma Kumaris (Academy for a Better World) in Mount Abu Rajasthan. Inspired by an experience of living in one of the worlds most remote regions the Kimberly (Australia), he has been experimenting using sound to create silence.


Dr. Nalini Nagalla

Dr. Nagalla is Pulmonologist & Sleep Specialist, Continental Hospitals. She has done her MD from AFMC, Pune and has 15 years of experience in various Pulmonary interventions and Sleep Disorders. She has keen interest in the areas of Obstructive airway diseases, Sleep Apnea and Antimicrobial Stewardship. She is the teaching faculty for postgraduate training in Pulmonary Medicine and also regularly speaks at conferences and participates in Clinical Trials. Previous engagements include KIMS and Mediciti Hospitals.


Deenanath Harapanahalli - Founder & CEO,TAF

Deena is Founder & CEO, TAF which created three of the biggest and the most successful corporate annual cycling events in India - The Freedom Ride, The Republic Ride, and The Peace Ride. The Rides support TAF’s mission of changing lives through education. Earlier he was the Country Head for Invesco in India. He has earlier held various positions in the areas of M&A, Private-Equity, and Technology Products / Services for the Financial Services Industry. He is an MBA (Finance & Strategy) from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics & Communications) from Karnataka University.


V Rajanna

Rajanna is the VP & Regional Head of Global Head-Telecom Technology BU at TCS. His experience spans various countries across the globe, and encompasses areas like Sales, Delivery, Operations, Human Resources, Research & Development, Marketing, and Education. Rajanna has been instrumental in growing TCS operations in Hyderabad multifold over the recent years. Earlier Rajanna was GM Delivery and Operations for TCS' Asia Pacific Region; GM of TCS in China and also the Head of TCS' Global Delivery Centres based in Hangzhou and Shanghai; and Regional Manager of TCS' operations in Taiwan.


Dr. Kiranmai

Dr. Kiranmai is Corporate VP HRD, Greater Asia at AMD. Prior to joining AMD, Kiranmai worked with the Indian School of Business as Associate Director, Center for Leadership, Innovation and Change, and prior to that was the VP, HR with Knoah Solutions. Earlier, she spent many years in the academic world as Assistant Professor at Central Institute of English & Foreign Languages and Osmania University. Dr. Kiranmai has a PHD with a specialization in business communication and is currently pursuing second doctorate in Organizational Behavior from XLRI. She is actively associated with various professional bodies. She has published academic papers, poems, and co-authored several books on communication (prescribed text books across multiple universities in India).


M Narsimha Rao

Narry is SVP of Insurance Cards & Payments Segment and Hyderabad Location Head, Infosys. He comes with a unique blend of experience in working for an end-user organization using IT, in working for a Product company developing and implementing enterprise-wide ERP applications and in working for an SI like Infosys in implementing enterprise wide applications for Global clients. Prior to Infosys, Narry worked with Ramco Systems– a leading ERP Product Vendor and helped implement their ERP for Customers in Asia and US. Narry also worked with Brooke Bond India Ltd (now Hindustan Unilever Ltd) in their IT department. Narry has has done his MBA from XLRI and received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Osmania University.


Ramam Atmakuri

Ramam is Executive Vice Chairman, LV Prasad Eye Institute. He started his career in 1984 as Management Trainee in Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), and worked for three decades in IT and Manufacturing industries. He was heading the India R&D centers of multinationals Baan and Invensys, with a track record of building and maturing product development centers in India. Before joining LVPEI in October 2014, he was the Center Head of Cognizant at Hyderabad. Ramam served on global management teams and has vast experience in building and managing businesses, and leading multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.


Dnyaneshwar Nerkar (Gyani)

Dnyaneshwar Nerkar (Gyani) - Being an IT professional, Dnyaneshwar Nerkar (Gyani) has worked as a Technical Specialist in IT industry for more than 9 years. In May 2013, he decided to join Techvision – a small start-up run by Blind Technocrats, with whom he has been associated since last 7 years. The sole intention of Gyani to join Techvision is to helping them grow in all the areas they are into, one of them is Accessibility - which is their niche. Currently he is playing the role of Technical Mentor cum facilitator for Techvision and feels proud to be a part of MAD (Motivated and Dedicated) & Differently Able team.


Dinesh Kashikar

Dinesh Kashikar is an IIT Mumbai Chemical Engg graduate. He got introduced to Art of Living in 1995. Since then he dedicated his life for the spread of Yoga in the World. He is a certified International Yoga teacher who has traveled widely all over the world touching the lives of more than 500,000 people. He is currently full time volunteer at Art of Living Head Quarters in Bangalore.


Murali Bollu

Murali has 25+ years of experience in the IT Services industry. He has MCA from NIT, Rourkela, and worked as Systems Consultant at Tandem Computers (now HP), Wells Fargo Bank, and Kaiser Permanente for 13 years before returning to India to start ZenQ in 2003. Murali is currently serving as Executive Committee member of HYSEA (IT industry association), Hyderabad.


Flt Lt Bipin Pendyala

Bipin is currently MD at iKeva Venture & Knowledge Advisory Services and Co-Founder & MD at SuVitas Holistic Healthcare. He is also Member, BoD at iCrederity and Advisory Board Member at BodhaGuru. Earlier he was VP & Site Manager with CA Technologies, COO & Board Member with Knoah Solutions, GM with PortalPlayer (now nVIDIA) and Project Leader with MBT (now TechMahindra). Prior to corporate career, he was a commissioned officer in The Indian Air Force. He is actively involved with industry and entrepreneurial activities and regularly speaks at conferences and seminars. He received Faculty Council Gold Medal in MBA from XIMB and has done his BTech In Electronics & Communications.


Bala Kishore

Bala Kishore (Bala) is Co-Founder of SPIR-IT Summit. He has been in the IT Industry for the past 21 years and is currently working as Senior Vice President at United Online India, Indian subsidiary of United Online Inc, (USA). While Bala has been busy 'doing' many things as a part of his work, he is also very interested in the 'being' part as an experienced meditation practitioner. His desire to share the 'being' insights with the larger IT community made him found SPIR-IT Summit.
Bala is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) as accredited by International Coach Federation (ICF). Bala was one of the 12 I.T. professionals, chosen from all over India for ‘Advanced Management Program for Young Indian IT Managers’ in 2001, by the British Government as a part of their Chevening Scholarship program.

Genesis

During a tour of the Shantisarovar Retreat Center

       the IT Minister of Telangana, KT Rama Rao Jr, was inspired by the Spirituality in IT (SIT) retreats that had been going on for over 3 years.

Upon his request and with the support of HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Exporters Associations),

the Brahma Kumaris have created SPIR-IT Summit at the intersection of Leadership-Technology-Consciousness; the first of its kind in India.
